How To Stop A Boo Hag From Riding You Or Your Family. Hoodoo Working.
In this post I'll be talking on Boo Hags and giving a working to capture one from writing you are a family member.
But before I do let's talk on what they actually are.
Where Did The Story Come From? Boo Hag is rooted in African American folklore, mostly by the Gullah-Geechee communities along low country. Now one origin of the Boo Hag is traced back to West African folklore and there is a creature known as the “Adze” or “Ade” a Adze.
What Are They? Boo hags are spirits, their similar to vampires that may be undead beings or spirits that feed off of living humans by sitting on their victims chest and sucking the energy or life sustenance from a person's breath, instead of their blood. I think their spirits of dead witches who continue to do bad after death, over time they change into this enity. Boo Hags can also give a person the medical condition known as "Sleep Paralysis"
You may wake up with strange scratches, recurring nightmares, exhaustion and illness as a result. All together, these symptoms will lead to mental illness or death
How To They Get In My House? They can easily enter your house through very small openings like a window, or a crack in a wall, key holes etc.
Fortunately, there are some warning signs that a Boo Hag may be close by. Some dogs are able to sense their presence and will start howling or barking. Crows will also recognize them. The air will be hot and damp, smell of rot and decay can happen. Now I never experienced one my self but if you have these signs then It could be a hag.
How Can One Hope To Stop Such Evil? For all of the Boo Hag’s power, there are a number of ways to keep her at bay.
Story goes that they obsessive-compulsive disorder and feels compelled to count the actions any small objects. Scattering sesame seeds around the bed will accomplish this as well can help you escape.
Who knows how fast they count but they do like to count. Sun light can destroy her.
Fake Hoodoo. I see this a lot, Boo Hag, hates the smell of asafoetida. This plaint is native to places like Turkmenistan, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Uzbekistan so understand how did the African Americans use this in the south. DON'T BYE.
WORKING: To Catch a Boo Hags.
Get yourself a blue bottle. Haunt blue and a plain white candle. (You can bye these bottles cheap online or use a bud platinum bottle or a milk of magnesia bottle)
Clean the bottle out. Then turn the bottle on its side and place it by the door of the room or where you believe the hag might be coming in at.
Next place mustered seeds under the bed making a line from the bed all the way to the bottle, then around the bottle. (You can add a pinch of salt to it a well.
Light your white candle in the back behind the bottle. Pray the 23rd Psalms.
If and when the candle start making hussing or crackling sounds you have it trapped in the bottle. Take your cap and close the bottle up take it out side and dispose of it. The sun will destroy it.

Honestly, this. This, this, this.
Especially with Agatha’s excuse of “it was the 1920s!” sounds so similar to how white people respond to reparations (“It was 400 years ago! Get over it.”)

currently reading henry winston's crisis of the black panther party (here) and it's hitting hard. this was written in 1971 but so much of what he discusses and critiques are just as applicable now. i'm still digesting it but i'm really appreciating the read
#winston was an african american marxist leninist critiquing the ultra leftist anarchist and maoist practices of the bpp#and discusses how these elements made it easier for them to be successfully targeted by the ruling class + infighting#among other issues#he wrote it as a contemporary black activist not as an outsider#really really great writing

Hoodoo WitchTips: Divination🔮✨
Here are some quick but powerful protective tips to help with divination when working with tarot, oracle, bones & more.
Divination is still a form of labor, so it’s important to ground yourself and even do a bit of light healing work afterwords. It’s so easy to do divination most people forget or don’t know about these simple spiritual hygiene tips. Good spiritual hygiene, protection and healing is important during divination because you are tapping into unknown energies.
Doing these small things routinely, can help you keep your clarity of mind and even possibly prevent psychosis or trigger other mental health issues.
While Hoodoo is a closed practice, the MAJORITY of tips/tricks are present in many cultures and are not Hoodoo specific, with the exception of the usage of Florida & Kananga Water. Non Hoodoo, Brujeria or ATR practitioners can use holy or blessed pagan water as a substitute.

Jamaican Obeah
Jamaican Obeah refers to the practice of Obeah, a spiritual and magical tradition rooted in West African and Caribbean cultures. Obeah has a significance presence in Jamaica and holds cultural and historical importance on the island. Obeah in Jamaica has its roots in the spiritual beliefs and practices brought to the Caribbean through the transatlantic slave trade. Enslaved Africans brought with them a rich tapestry of religious and spiritual traditions, and Obeah emerged as a distinct syncretic practice in Jamaica. Individuals who practice Obeah are often referred to as "Obeah men" or "Obeah women". These practitioners have a deep understanding of the spiritual realm and are sought after for their abilities in healing, protection, divination and other spiritual services.
It's crucial to approach discussions about Jamaican Obeah with cultural sersitivity, recognizing the diversity of beliefs and practices within the Afro-Caribbean spiritual landscape. Different individuals and communities may have variations in their practices, and interpretations may differ among practioners. Respect for cultural beliefs and traditions is essential and fostering understanding.

I love giving advice, apparently, so if you are a newly pierced person or are planning on being pierced, here are some of the things I found helpful, as somebody who isn't a professional piercer but has had six plus piercings on my face and body, and multiple ear piercings (which I don't count, since I DIY'd them):
Normal bath towels are your enemy, proceed with caution after bathing. NEVER wipe moisture away from a fresh piercing, always pat it dry
You will hit a new piercing and it will hurt. This is inevitable, just know that you likely haven't destroyed it. Feel free to cry, though, it hurts like hell.
If your piercer gives you instructions, heed them. If you're on restrictions, please take it as seriously as possible
When you're going in for a piercing, please eat or drink something - at least what constitutes as a snack for your body. It really helps
If you're getting an oral piercing, make sure you size down after the healing period - I hadn't sized down for my last oral piercing when I first had the chance, and it was... so annoying to have too-large of jewelry
Not all jewelry is made equally. Do your research on materials, threading, and sizing. I've found that titanium jewelry is really nice for me, and I like it, but that isn't the only option. Make sure you think about your body and its needs and preferences
Close your eyes while being pierced (I found this really helps me)
Don't over-clean a new piercing, twice per day is usually a good place to start
The completed healing period is a very average suggestion - you may heal slower or faster. Try to adhere to that suggestion, though, especially if you do not feel you're healed enough
Personally, I have found that I am completely healed when my piercing feels like just another part of my body, even when it is touched. When my piercings start to feel as though they are foreign when they never do before, I know I likely need to clean them
While I have DIY'd piercings, I personally do not recommend it, especially if you are either not using sterilized equipment, or are piercing a very dangerous place (like the tongue). If you are absolutely positive about committing to the DIY mindset, please try to do due diligence in research at least
Tip your piercer. Body mods are a luxury service, and it takes years to even become a piercer, much less to be proficient at it. Tip your piercer, ESPECIALLY if their prices feel too good to be true - they likely are. Unless you are directed otherwise by your piercer, just assume that you will be tipping them for their services and budget accordingly
Make sure you understand how your piercer wants you to take care of your piercing, and ask questions. There is no question too "dumb"
If you are getting a body part pierced you are insecure about, realize your piercer has most likely seen HUNDREDS of different body parts of various sizes, shapes, and oddities. Your body is not uniquely bad, nor would a good piercer make you feel unwelcome or uncomfortable with your body. If they do, however, DO NOT go through with the piercing. You should feel safe being pierced by somebody, and, indeed, that is the bare minimum.
If you use saline wash to clean piercings, you can DIY it. You will go through NeilMed like no other, and with it being $5USD a bottle, that price can rack up quickly. Make sure you use distilled water and non-iodized salt, though
If your piercing is infected, please don't be too ashamed to seek help. It's in your best interest to make sure you don't get ill or your site gets nasty ("nasty" as in painful)
These are just some of the things I've learned being a pierced person! My piercings are something I absolutely needed, and I do not for a minute regret having them. I want that same happiness to befall you, and that happens when you are able to understand a bit more what goes into piercings. You are, essentially, getting a new body part installed by a pro, and so I don't want you to not be ready for that.
Again, I am not a professional piercer, but am rather a body piercing enthusiast with many different types of piercings. I don't have every piercing, though, so please look at this critically for the piercing(s) that you want or have. At least, treat this like a soft suggestion or ways to help you brainstorm what you will find helpful.
More tips are obviously welcomed, especially if you yourself have more insight or expertise. Good luck to every pierced person or future pierced person reading this💛
#body modification#body mods#piercings#body piercing#long post#honestly i love having a professional relationship with my piercer and i feel so happy to be pierced by her#i think the client and piercer relationship is a very important aspect of getting a piercing#and i don't think people talk about that part much. you should feel SAFE being around your piercer#they are literally creating a new hole in your body with a needle. that is a very vulnerable position to be in#but i'm honestly shocked at how cheap my piercer is...#...so my last piercing was only $50USD and that included the (nice) jewelry. i feel that in that cast tipping 60% was worth it...#...i know that can rack up the cost of the piercing but especially if you LIKE your piercer (like i do) - try being as generous as possible#i personally LOVE tipping my piercer and it's the best way i can show her that i LOVE her work even when i tell her#love having a personal blog that i can be autistic about piercings!!!!! I LOVE THIS ANCIENT TRADITIONNNN#one of my profs let us write about anything as long as it was an essay and i went Insane writing about historical piercing practices#LOVE ALL TYPES OF PIERCINGS especially ones that are used to 'scare' outsiders <3#when i was a kid they used to tell us about the Mystical African Tribes that STRETCHED THEIR LIPS (scary!!!!)...#...if it isn't obvious i hate that the lip plate especially practiced by the Mursi and many others have been used for frankly rascist ideas#i brought up the lip thing because i learned a lot about iirc the Mursi practice of lip plating and it's given me more appreciation for it!!#it's ENDLESSLY fascinating and i wish i hadn't been shown the negative bias against them first

I realized it's a crime to have Sophie without Belinda. They're a 2 for 1 deal dispite everything
#my art#he who fights with monsters#hwfwm#The fashion of the other world always kills me because I have no fucking idea what that's supposed to look like#I usually imagine Belinda in blues and purples with practical white and brown#Which also allows her to have subtle bisexual colors#Bisexual bob queen#'greenstone fashion is loose and colorful' YEAH BUT THATS VERY NONSPECIFIC MATE#Is it alike to IRL African styles?? Is it Greek because greenstone was settled by people from around the Mediterranean sea??#Arabic??#What colors do they even use?? The full rainbow??? Do they have multiple wonderful green deys because of the greenstone mining?#Can you just magic your clothes color??? (Probably)#Like. I think of Humphrey and his mom as very much Greek because my mom had a Greek friend when I was small and I thought she was#The prettiest person ever#She probably still is beautiful. Hope she and her husband are happy wherever they moved too#Anyway. My point is that Lindy is allowed to have fun with clothes and probably has a ton of outfits if only for infiltration#Actually genuinely question... Are there any traditions involving head covers?#Vails or hats or the like?

What IS Real D.U.M.E. POWDER + Workings.
In this post I'm going to speak on what is and the different ways to use Dume Powder.
What Does Dume Mean? D.U.M.E means Death Unto My Enemies.
What Is The Difference Between Goofer Dust & Dume Powder? This type of powder I would say is a step below Goofer Dust. Dume Powder is fairly newish and has lighter ingredients, where Goofer Dust has been around for over a hundred years and has more potent ingredients and takes longer to make.
Is The Store Bought Dume The Real? Don't know, I can say Goofer dust Is Not The Real Deal in stores. Dume I want to say can be in some places. But i can say this. I think the southern hoodoo communities stop telling outsiders how to make goofer dust to keep it from being sold because of how dangerous it can be.
How Can It Be Used? There are many ways to use this depending on what results your looking for.
Dume powder works well with a person's natural tendencies.
(Example) If I know that a person's is constantly getting sick or think that they are you can play off that and actually make them sick.
Spells: Here are two spells useing a photo if you done have your targets photo use their name and burn that to ash.
Burn a photo of the target to ash & mix in hospital dirt and dume powder. Now this will make them sick.
You can burn a photo of a person to ash then mix dume powder and put it in a little bottle or pill bottle the it will make them shake constantly.
There are other ways it can be used like putting it a persons foot track or of you pick up their tracks.
It can be used to to keep a man from getting a erection.

this is a series of q&a's from a bunch of Non Initiatied Non POC Tryin to do something, that they don't understand.
No doubt some will read this and see where it says no initiation required, but thats where its telling you it's all not your culture and yu should stop messing with it - because it's not yours.

just stumbled upon this visual in a research paper and its the most scummy thing i've ever seen
#it's terrible practice reduce intensity of colour values as the actual values go up. it's counterintuitive#at first glance looks as if african and asian countries have higher levels of whatever is being calculated (in this case cholesterol)#you really need to look into the colour key several times for it to really click#it doesn't help that the colour chosen is red#if i didn't know any better i'd argue that the misleading is intentional#either way. wth man#can scientists learn how produce good charts and figures please
